Beginning in 2003, we committed ourselves to creating one of the most desirable habitats for whitetail deer in the Midwest. By limiting the number of hunters we let on the 800 acre property, limiting the number of bucks taken and following QDMA management practices made for a robust deer herd that yielded big time results for our hunters this year. We’re proud that North Branch hunters enjoyed a 100% success rate for mature whitetail bucks in 2009!
We saw success in each of the gun and bow seasons, culminating with guide Jeff Brennan’s 15 point, 183-1/8 monster during the late muzzleloader season. North Branch hunters hailed from Mississippi, New York, Michigan, and of course, Iowa.
For the 2010 season, we are limiting the total number of hunters to 12 for the rut and post-rut, with a maximum of eight for the gun seasons. Groups will be limited to four hunters at a time. All hunts include the use of our on-site cabin. See our Hunts page for more info.
